CPA study plan

CPA study plan for working students and busy candidates.

A good CPA study plan is not the most aggressive plan. It is the plan you can actually repeat while working, taking classes, commuting, or handling family responsibilities.

Start with weekly capacity

Before choosing an exam date, estimate honest weekly study time. If you can study 10 hours per week, do not plan like someone with 25. A realistic plan prevents panic later.

Use three types of sessions

Your week should include learning sessions, practice-question sessions, and review sessions. If every session is only new material, weak topics pile up.

Example weekly rhythm

A simple week might be: two nights of new material, two nights of MCQ practice, one short flashcard review, and one weekend block for missed questions. Adjust the volume, but keep the rhythm.

Do not wait to practice

Many candidates read too long before answering questions. Start practice early, even when uncomfortable. Questions reveal whether you actually understand the concept.

Plan review before the final week

The final week should not be the first time you revisit weak topics. Build review into every week so the last week is refinement, not rescue.

Protect sleep near exam day

Cramming while exhausted can hurt judgment, especially on AUD where wording matters. The final days should emphasize high-yield review and calm execution.

Next step

Use a realistic weekly plan, then measure progress through practice questions.
